You don't have to be pregnant to belong here

You may know Asher Birth & Body for prenatal massage and birth support. We honor that work! But you don't have to be expecting a baby to book a massage here. In fact it's one of our most asked questions, "can my husband come see you?". Yes! Men and women who aren't pregnant are welcome, too. Maybe your shoulders feel like they've been doing too much work. Maybe you've had a busy week and want a quiet hour to reconnect with your body. Maybe you're simply curious about therapeutic massage. Regardless of the reason, you belong here.

Start with what's happening in your body

You don't need to know the name of a technique before you arrive. Start with what you're feeling and what you'd like from the session. What are your goals? Is there one area you'd like us to focus on? Are you looking for a gentler session? Is there an injury, health change or area you want us to avoid? That conversation helps us choose an approach with you. Our massage services include therapeutic and deep tissue work alongside our prenatal and postpartum specialties. The session should fit the person on the table.

Care, without the big promises

Massage may help with some kinds of neck and shoulder discomfort, though relief can be short-term and results vary. It isn't a diagnosis or a replacement for medical care. If something is new, severe or unexplained, check with your healthcare provider instead of trying to massage your way through it. Tell us about health conditions, recent surgery and anything your provider wants us to know. Sometimes that means adapting the session. Sometimes it means checking with your provider first.

An invitation for your everyday body

You don't need a pregnancy, a milestone or a perfect explanation to ask about massage. Your everyday body deserves care, too. Explore the massage services at Asher Birth & Body

or reach out with a question about what might fit your needs. We'd love to help you find your starting point.
